We’re looking for a skilled and reliable Line Cook to join our kitchen and help deliver exceptional meals to our guests. If you thrive in a fast-paced kitchen and take pride in your craft, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals composed on PYC’s menu file and guest’s specifications in a timely manner
• Accurately measure and portion ingredients
• Maintain kitchen standards for sanitation, safety, and procedures
• Operate kitchen equipment (grills, ovens, slicer, salamander, warmers, knives) safely and efficiently
• Monitor food inventory and ensure freshness and quality
• Maintain proper cooking and storage temperatures
• Keep workstations clean, organized, and sanitized
• Assist with kitchen opening, closing, and additional duties as directed by the Executive Chef

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or line cook experience preferred
• Ability to stand and work for extended periods (up to 5 hours)
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Commitment to cleanliness and food safety
• Portage Yacht Club is a No Smoking property
